Paul Arnold is a member of the South Manchester Writers Workshop.

He was a psychologist and worked at the University of Manchester and University Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research was into Virtual Reality, the psychology of lipreading and of deafness. He also lectured on human evolution. Abstracts of some his papers are on Google Scholar.
